Our Current:
At Waves and Trees Publications, we believe that the world of art and culture is a living, breathing composite formed by differences, contradictions and multiplicities. Taking inspiration from the dialectics of cultural history, we intend to recognise the passages from singular to diverse branches of ideas that spread into unique and creative discontinuity - trees. Moreover, we desire to embrace the sweeping force of continuity that flows across barriers and communicates the shared human values - waves. Our mission is to create a platform for works that exist at the ‘compromise’ of sociopolitical mechanisms. We seek words surging across the silent/shadowed spaces that have stayed unaccounted, unacknowledged or unarticulated. The attempt is also to provide the comfort of a shadow and the calm of the oceans to the words that have been screamed at, overstated and are about to lose meaning. At Waves & Trees, we don’t just publish turning pages, we publish the turns, the fingerprints, the margins and the blank spaces that need to be read.Our Current:
